Joy of Giving

Every dollar donated to The Joy of Giving goes 100% to providing holiday gifts for the children. Joy of Giving has no paid staff, and all administrative costs are through in-kind donations.

JOY OF GIVING was launched in 1988 by Nicki Davis and a few generous volunteers. They adopted one local family to bring the spirit of Christmas to their door. Taking along Santa for the ride and delivering his sack full of toys and clothes for a little girl and her siblings. Upon their arrival, the little girl threw her arms around a jolly fellow in a big red suit! “Santa, I knew you wouldn’t forget me….last year I waited and waited, and you didn’t come,” she cried. This true story inspired the mission, and The Joy of Giving was born.

ICCCF has been a major supporter of Joy of Giving since 2002. Each year, more than 1,000 disadvantaged children in Collier County receive clothing, toys and other holiday gifts. The Joy of Giving works with service organizations and schools to pre-qualify children for eligibility.  When one child is selected, siblings are included.  Parents arrive at Walmart on the Joy of Giving day each December to shop for their child’s gifts.  Volunteers approve all items and assist with checkout at the register.

Each holiday season, ICCCF proudly supports the Joy of Giving Christmas Program, helping provide the magic of the holidays to children in need throughout Marco Island and the surrounding area.  Every dollar donated by ICCCF to The Joy of Giving goes 100% to providing holiday gifts for the children.

100% of registration fees net of event expenses go directly to charities supported by ICCCF.

By contributing to ICCCF you can help us continue our support for Joy of Giving and other local charities.
